It's probably time I share what's been working for me!
Who loves the dentist?? Yeah, me neither!
Recently I had some dental work done and often with that, comes some pain. So almost right away as I left the office, I put some helichrysum on the gauze in my mouth first. I believe that the helichrysum helped to keep it clean so healing could be sped up. Then as the freezing wore off, I began applying Copaiba to my cheek and alternated it with some Panaway. I did this every few hours or so. And guess what! No pain! I was so thrilled! I had M-grain nearby just in case and expected to use loads of Panaway, but I really didn't need any past that first 24 hours!
Do you have any good dental routines at home?
I recently started a few things - a few months ago actually and I believe they are making a difference for my teeth and mouth in general.

First thing in the morning I hold Coconut oil in my mouth for 20 minutes - this is called Oil Pulling if you hadn't heard of that. I add 3-4 drops of wintergreen and 4-5 drops of frankincense to this as well. I do it before even taking a drink of water or brushing my teeth!
Then in the evening, I brush, floss and then rinse with a mouthwash that I add 4-5 drops of Frankincense to, and a couple of drops of wintergreen again! I hold this in my mouth for a couple of minutes and then personally, I swallow it!
I know that what I do isn't for everyone, however when I told my dentist, he fully approved!
I used to be such a saver as I grew up.
Now my husband would call me a spender.
Do you feel like one of those tags could be used to describe you?
or maybe like me, you're a spender in some seasons and a saver in others.

Or maybe it depends on the item, for me I can justify just about anything in a grocery store as long as it's semi-healthy. And I can justify all sorts of educational items for my kids, meanwhile, I'm holding off on the water pik that would serve my teeth immensely... it's so odd!
How do you decide what to spend on, and what to wait on?
When Black Friday comes around, I tend to get into a spending season and it becomes hard to stop because usually I've waited all year long to finally buy the kids all new pillows that they so desperately need and a rug for our living room etc. The list is built all year long and now the flood gates open (yet I don't find everything I'm looking for...).

Anyway, I find myself in an odd spot and maybe you do too. Spending lots yet waiting on things - mostly for myself!
One thing though that I'm really excited about is all the limited time oils that Young Living Canada released yesterday!! I'm super pumped for Majestic Canada, Canadian Fleabane and Rue essential oils. And I already have a couple of 15ml bottles of Cassia which is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G to say the least.
Are you getting your hands on any of these special oils? You won't regret it, I promise!
While not everyone is heading back to school in the fall, most are still heading back to some form of learning.
We are heading into our 2nd year of homeschooling and I am both so excited and also nervous once again.
So I'm choosing to focus on the things I'm grateful for, and excited for!
*freedom to sleep (and let my children sleep) until they want to get up
So I'm choosing to focus on the things I'm grateful for, and excited for!
*freedom to sleep (and let my children sleep) until they want to get up
*no rush around in the mornings
*no packed lunches
*freedom to learn what the kids actually want to learn about
*freedom to challenge my kids who need it, and spend extra time and practice with the kids who need that.
*no worries about what school will look like this fall
*a new curriculum to try out and an old one to fall back to if necessary
*a new curriculum to try out and an old one to fall back to if necessary
*new friends joining the homeschool community
*our summer activities don't have to end
*weaving homesteading skills into the learning
*truly knowing and having a relationship with my children
(after 3 years in full time school, it felt as though I didn't really know my oldest child and when we began to homeschool, it felt as though I got him back! Such an incredible feeling to again have this close bond with him)
There are many other things to be grateful for, these are just what came to mind at the moment.
And please if you send your kids to school, I do not judge, I was there and my journey has now brought me here. We need schools, we need teachers and many teachers are amazing human beings and many school are wonderful places. My biggest thing was that I desired more time with the children I was called to raise.
So if you have any questions about homeschooling, I am freshly new to it so I remember very well where you are if you're just beginning! I actually still feel like I'm just beginning and simply feeling more comfortable not knowing what I'm actually doing here! Just trial by error and flying by the seat of my pants! And that's something for this normally organized girl!
Some of my fave blends for schooling times would be Kidscents Genius, Valor (everyday, sometimes every hour), Vetiver, Cedarwood, Stressaway, Northern Lights Black Spruce, Clarity, Tranquil and so many more. On the back of their necks or in the diffuser - makes a difference for sure!
All the best as we navigate September!

Today is the beginning of my 8th year with Young Living! Isn't that exciting?
And only now am I taking on this idea of having a blog and actually creating content of my own. It has been such a work on my mindset because to me, to write is too much work! And yet, I talk to people about my passions without a second thought evaluating how much "thinking work" that is. So here I am - beginning a new chapter - just 7 years into this journey.
Because it's true for me and it's true for you - first time experiences can happen for the rest of your life. It is truly never too late to start something.
So if you have been meaning to call that friend, do it!
If you've been meaning to buy that fancy duvet - go for it.
And if you've been meaning to take that vacation - don't wait any longer!
And if you've been meaning to take that vacation - don't wait any longer!
And of course, if you've been meaning to get healthier - take one step towards that goal today, right now. Don't wait. And it's not too late - it never is.
Maybe you have a set of Young Living Oils sitting on your shelf and you're unsure what to do with them.
Then simply take out that diffuser, add water, and put 3-5 drops of Thieves in it today.

Simple.
Firsts for everyone!
Have a blessed day my friend!
